About Us

Established in 2017 by Adrianna Rhett, Spark School of Music was originally an after-school enrichment program that brought music classes and summer camps to kids in the cities of Oakland, Piedmont and Alameda. Adrianna returned to San Diego in 2019 and shifted her focus to in-home guitar lessons before opening her first studio on Cedros in Solana Beach.

Now at its current location on Santa Helena, Spark School of Music remains an independently-owned organization, offering lessons in guitar, voice, bass, piano, drums, ukulele, oboe, clarinet, saxophone and flute. Youth mentorship stays at the core of the company’s mission, striving to nurture a community in which students of all ages (adults, too!) can learn, play and perform music.
